TYLER’S ACTING JOURNEY
(Thus far…)
Tyler’s love for entertainment and acting began at an early age. Performing in many school and civic theatre productions, he always knew that acting was his passion and what he wanted to do.
Tyler got his first taste of a true large-scale production in 2004 when he worked on “The War That Made America” in Pittsburgh. In this French and Indian war documentary, Tyler portrayed a brave British soldier who valiantly slew hoards of invaders before dying a heroic death (ok maybe not quite hoards…) .
In early 2005 Tyler made the move to Los Angeles, and has since been in over 5 main stage theatrical productions at Citrus College, including roles in “Dark of the Moon”, “subUrbia”, “Joined at the Head” and “Anon(ymous)”.
Tyler was nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship through the
Kennedy Center: American College Theatre Festival for his performances in both “subUrbia” and “Joined at the Head”.
(Video of both of these shows is available in the Video section!)
In the Fall of 2008 Tyler transferred to California State University: Los Angeles, where he is currently working towards a B.A. in Theatre Arts. While attending “CSULA”, Tyler has performed in such shows as “All My Sons”, “Doors” and “Evita”.
Tyler continues to pursue his passion of acting, both for live theatre audiences and in front of the camera.
